Line Cook

As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in our restaurant’s operations. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. You will also assist with meal preparation, set up stations, clean work areas, and ensure compliance with food safety procedures.

To excel in this role, you should have previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment. You should be familiar with basic cooking techniques, have knowledge of food safety regulations, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a diner / bistro setting would be an asset. Strong knowledge of breakfast menu items an asset. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are also essential.

Duties
– Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
– Assist with meal preparation and food handling
– Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
– Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils
– Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
– Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies

Experience
– Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment required
– Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
-Valid Safe Food Handlers Certificate Required
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
  • Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed
