Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tenant Side
- Allow contractors into the building.
- Performs daily circle checks of the outside of building.
- Maintain cleanliness of the garbage room including odor control
- Responsible for emptying the tenant garbage containers from garbage room into the dumpster.
- Responsible for taking recycling bins to the curb and returning them on recycling day.
- Dry/Damp mop all stairwells, lobby floors, common rooms, laundry room and hallways.
- Dust common areas as needed.
- Clean and sanitize inside and outside of elevator including buttons and door tracks.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the building inside and out, excluding donations.
- Perform general lawn maintenance duties as required.
- Remove snow and apply salt, as needed, to sidewalks and outside entrances when required.
Store
- Dry mop store aisles, under racks, behind cash and in fitting rooms.
- Clean front windows and mirrors.
- Shakes out or vacuums rugs at store entrance.
- Damp mop floor as needed at entrance.
- Cleans washrooms, including toilets, mirrors, sinks, and floors.
- Ensure toilet paper dispensers have products in them and keep supplies well stocked.
- Dry/wet mops community room floor as needed.
- Dry/wet mop staff lunchroom.
- Ensure all cleaning fluids are labeled (WHMIS labels) and used as directed and well stocked.
- Reports all safety concerns to store manager.
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Goodwill Industries Niagara
- Conform to all Health and Safety regulations and procedures as laid out in the Employee Handbook
- Any other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior cleaning experience is an asset.
- Ability to follow all WHIMIS regulations.
- Physically able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Able to perform repetitive motion, lift 50 lbs., stretch over shoulder height and bend.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certificate an asset
- Complete and maintain a clean criminal reference check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.20 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
