26’ Straight Truck Driver/Warehouse Labourer

Job Description

We are a consumer goods retailer based in St.Catharines who is looking to hire a D licenced 26’ Straight Truck Driver/Warehouse Labourer.

As a D licensed 26’ Straight Truck Driver/Warehouse Labourer, your role involves several important responsibilities:

1. Truck Driving:
   • You’ll operate a vehicle for the transportation and delivery of goods. This includes ensuring safe driving practices, following traffic laws, and maintaining the vehicle’s condition.
   • Your primary duty is to transport goods efficiently and securely to their destinations.
2. Warehouse Duties:
   • As part of your regular warehouse duties, you’ll be involved in various tasks:
     1. Loading and Unloading: Handling the movement of goods onto and off the truck.
     2. Quality Assurance Inspections: Ensuring that products meet quality standards before delivery.
     3. Assembling Products: Must be capable of assembling an assortment of furniture, barbecues, bicycles and more as needed.
     4. Using Tools: You’ll work with tools such as pallet jacks, computers, and e-log tablets.
3. Work Schedule:
   • Your general work week consists of 40 hours.
   • On Mondays (or every second Monday), your day starts early at 3:30 am.
   • From Tuesday to Friday, your work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
   • Due to work schedule, you must have your own transportation.

Compensation:

1. • You’ll receive a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour.
