Cashier
Job description
- Processes customer transactions at the cash register as required and practices proper money handling procedures and ensures money is always secure. Upholds Customer Service Policy.
- Maintain the appearance of the change room by keeping it neat and clean.
- Greet each customer that wants to use the change rooms in a friendly manner. Advise customer of 3 item limit at one time.
- Greet Customers as they enter the store.
- Assist Floor person by putting racks of clothing away and performing rotation check outs as well.
- Keeping the area neat and always organized. Always make sure the cash area is stocked with supplies needed for the day.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the store Manager, Supervisor or Lead Associate
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision and values of Goodwill Industries Niagara
- Conform to all Health and Safety regulations and procedures as laid out in the Employee Handbook
Apparel Hanger
Job description
- Places saleable clothing on hangers to meet established quotas. Hangs clothing on racks for transporting to the sales floor, keeping similar types of clothing grouped together.
- Using POS terminal to print off appropriate sale tags for each item of clothing being hung.
- Knowledge of Brands is essential.
- Understanding of Pricing standards
- Understanding of rotation chart and what colour tags to use when.
- Counts pieces of clothing hung and completes and signs off on a daily report reflecting totals.
- Keeping the area neat and always organized. Always make sure the hanging station is stocked with supplies needed for the day.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the store Manager, Supervisor or Lead Associate

Hard Goods Pricer
Job description
- Examine hard goods items to determine appropriateness for sales floor in accordance with established standards.
- Always maintain Production quotas.
- Using POS terminal to print off appropriate sale tags for each item. Using correct tags for each item.
- Knowledge of Brands is essential.
- Understanding of Pricing standards. Recognize items for mark up (name brands, numbered, collectibles, signed or marked)
- Understanding of rotation chart and what colour tags to use when.
- Keeping the area neat and always organized. Always make sure the pricing station is stocked with supplies needed for the day.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the store Manager, Supervisor or Lead Associate
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision and values of Goodwill Industries Niagara

Donation Door Attendant
Job description
- Greets donors to receive merchandise, providing donor with a tax receipt number if requested.
- Counting and tracking donations accurately
- Breaking down donations and putting them in the appropriate locations. Placing soft goods into the grey bin and hard goods into the proper tote category.
- Keep the river flowing by processing donations in a timely manner
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by the store Manager, Supervisor or Lead Associate

Apparel Sorter
Job description
- Examine clothing/household items such as bedding, towels, drapes to determine appropriateness for sales floor in accordance with established standards.
- Always maintain Production quotas.
- Keeping the area neat and always organized. Always make sure the sorting station is stocked with supplies needed for the day.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the store Manager, Supervisor or Lead Associate
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision and values of Goodwill Industries Niagara
- Conform to all Health and Safety regulations and procedures as laid out in the Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
- O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education preferred
- Previous experience in a retail environment an asset
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health issues or other employment barriers
- Valid Driver’s License and transportation an asset
- Willing to transfer to other regional locations as needed
- Valid CPR/First Aid certificate an asset
