General Manager / Sales & Operations Lead

Murdoch’s Tire & Automotive is seeking a motivated and dependable professional to join our team as anGeneral Manager or Tire Sales. This is a leadership development role designed for someone who will become the owner’s right-hand person—supporting daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

With over 65 years of serving the community, Murdoch’s Tire & Automotive is a trusted name in the Niagara Region. We are looking for someone who is eager to grow with us and contribute to our legacy of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily shop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Support the owner with administrative and management duties
• Provide outstanding customer service and build long-term client relationships
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and sales recommendations for tires services
• Learn/manage tire and service sales
• Coordinate scheduling for technicians and customer appointments
• Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally
• Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management
• Support marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in management
• Experience in automotive, retail, or service management preferred
• Strong sales aptitude with a willingness to learn
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership abilities and organizational skills
• Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers and point-of-sale systems
• Valid driver’s license required
• Knowledge of tires and automotive services is an asset but not required—training will be provided
