Pillar and Post is currently seeking a Part-time or Full-time Guest Services Agent/Bellperson to join our Front Office Team.

What you’ll be doing:

Guest Services Agent Responsibilities:

  • Register guests and assign rooms.
  • Accommodate special request whenever possible.
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
  • Check out guests on a regular ongoing basis.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of room rack and packages, room locations, types of room and costs of various rooms.
  • Liaison with housekeeping and other departments to ensure up-to-date guest room availability is monitored frequently.
  • Perform office duties such as preparing mail for postage, performing routine cash handling procedures, posting accounts; maintain keys for rooms and issuance of safety deposit box keys.

Bellperson Responsibilities:

  • Carries luggage for Guests checking in/out of the hotel.
  • Assists with room deliveries for special occasion items, cards and any other special amenities which may be requested.
  • Shuttles Guests to and from the downtown area or other various locations within the town as requested.
  • Orients Guests to Hotel and services.
  • Welcomes Guests to Hotel in a warm and pleasant manner.
  • Provides assistance to Guests such as opening doors and providing directions.
  • Assists with all Guests’ luggage.
  • Assists concierge with maps, directions and information.
  • Assists front desk with check ins/outs and answering telephones
  • Performs minor maintenance when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the Team:

  • 1-2 years front desk experience or similar experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation to Niagara on the Lake
  • Valid Drivers Licence & comfortable operating Company shuttle van
  • Ability to work both 7:00am-3:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm shifts
  • Excellent knowledge of the Niagara Region
  • Comfortable interacting with Guests
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed
