Detailed Description

At Visiting Angels, our goal is to provide our clients with service to enhance their independence and quality of life. We provide professional services with sensitivity and understanding, and we treat our clients with respect, dignity, and compassion. We offer the elderly and convalescent clients with companionship and personal care in their home, nursing home, or hospital under general direction of the agency, supervisor, or family members. To better assist our clients our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,

The applicant will provide home and personal care to individuals and families during periods of convalescence/respite care. The care provided consists of bedside personal care, ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and housekeeping. The staff may be required to plan, prepare and serve meals, and/or prepare special diets. Other tasks that are part of the services we offer are routine housekeeping, laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, making beds, dusting, wiping walls, cleaning the fridge, stove and other appliances.

We offer the elderly and convalescent clients with companionship and personal care in their home, nursing home, or hospital under general direction of the agency, supervisor, or family members.

Applicant must have certificate/diploma and training, in the PSW, field. Must have own transportation and be able to work in the Niagara Region Casual. Applicant must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends.

The applicant will possess the following:
Great interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, warmth and ability to empathize
Ability to use tact and professionalism when dealing with clients
Self-awareness
Strong work ethic and passion for supporting the client
Experience in individual support and advocacy
An ability to interact effectively with people and organizations
Superior verbal and written communication skills
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills combined with non-judgmental and confidential approach to a variety of situations
